The quarter percent sales tax for the medical mart has now cost County taxpayers $87 million. MMPI, Tim Hagan and his Kennedy friends thank you all. Keep it coming, says Tim.

Have you heard of International Women's Day? I first learned about this holiday/event that celebrates the many achievements and contributions of women about three years ago. Please check out the website International Women's Day to learn about the history of International Women's Day and ways it is celebrated around the world. Next year will be the centenary of International Women's Day.

No doubt one of my favorite artists ever is Neil Young - one of the greats I've never seen. So, I greatly appreciated finding relatively recent live video footage of him performing one of my favorite songs ever - "Tonight's the Night" - in Birmingham, England, sounding better than ever. I love this version, even with audio flaws and crowd noise present. Neil Young never sounded better! Unbelievable - I am going to find a way to see him before I die, now.
Thank you Claude06890 - The Ropey Old Pirate Show on YouTube - based in Birmingham, for making this experience possible, by paying to attend this Neil Young concert in England, recording it on a simple video device, and sharing it with the world... along with 6 other Neil Young video clips, now viewed a total of over 60,000 times around the world... along with the 300+ other great, original concert clips you have provided the world, from Birmingham - sharing over 2 years of your musical experiences with us here, in real NEO. I couldn't afford the airfare, so no harm done to Neil Young, for sure.
That is the power of the internet working for a musician.

One guy I knew in high school would make a difference in the world is Martin Davidson - smart and 100% competent and together at all times, in every way - and he is now Associate Professor of Leadership and Organizational Behavior at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business where he also serves as Associate Dean and Chief Diversity Officer. He blogs at Leveraging Difference. He also is frequently published in the Washington Post, as a Scholar "On Leadership."
I've been following his writing and thought realNEO members and leaders may find value in his latest column, in the Washington Post, that offers some relief from the pressure we all may feel to be perfect, rather than our flawed selves. This does not offer excuses for anyone, but does offer a level of understanding with gateways forward from troubled times, through equally troubling times ahead.
As our first discussion of the day, what are we going to do about children on realNEO - and in real coop?
I want them here and welcome my children as members - and swear as little as possible in respect.
As per our terms of use, my children have my permission to be here. I want them here, learning from all of us - seeing our great work - adding to the intellectual property and building a good virtual existence for each of themselves - I know we are the future of IT and I want them here at our birth.

What are the results of the $billions in public money spent in Ohio on Economic Development, 3rd Frontier and "Film" in the past decade? Now is the time for an OUTSIDE audit, before our outbound leaders spend more of our money on the wrong things, while asking citizens for more money for the friends of current leadership to transfer to their new chosen-ones.
Finally, someone talks some sense about the duties of new Cuyahoga County Commissioners under the County reform – candidate Clark Broida. The task of the county government is services, not economic development, he says.

Several trolls on realNEO have been planting insults here that "realNEO doesn't matter"... which is wrong. All realNEO members should take offense.
The beauty of realNEO is that last year people in nearly every country in the world looked at 11,430 DIFFERENT pages, a total of 865,730 times. Most of those pages were created right here in Northeast Ohio - all were created by common realNEOans... 100s of us... over more than 5 years.

I'll be brief.
I co-founded realNEO in 2004 because Northeast Ohio needs realNEO - the world needs realNEO. It is entirely different from any other "social network" or content management system on Earth, building upon the ICEarth co-op conceptual framework.
I developed the ICEarth (Internet/Information Community Earth) conceptual framework in global collaboration, in the late 1990's, and founded ICEarth LLC, in 2002, to build the co-op data warehousing and serving platform for the ICEarth conceptual framework.
We have built specialised hardware for ICEarth, running specialised open source software, all developed to unique specifications. Initial testing of the hardware and software configurations exceeds expectations.
Think of the irony of it. The Gund Foundation is giving the Cleveland schools $2.5 million of dollars, according to a Page one story today in the Plain Dealer. Isn’t it ironic - or at least amusing - or a dime back on a dollar - that the Gund family took MANY millions FROM the city’s schools.
