Did an 8.6 Quake Hit China?

Something occurred in China yesterday, something that may have been a magnitude 8.6 quake.

DSCDO is now accepting donations of furniture, household furnishing, clothing, or other needed supplies. In addition, financial contributions are also being accepted.

I've been thinking lead poisoning victims should send letters containing lead dust samples to the homes of people who clearly don't consider lead poisoning a serious matter. What do you think? Anything wrong with sending a perfectly legal substance that is spewed upon the public by Mittal and Cleveland Thermal to the families of the CEOs of the companies and enterprises that buy dirty power and steel from them?

How about sending lead to the politicians who vote for dirty coal burning, like the Cleveland City Council members who voted for AMP?

These asian carp have me very concerned.  Bubble nets, poisons, sounding devices and physical barriers only slow these little bastards down.  We, as defenders of all the Great Lake resources, must brainstorm a better way to rid these little devils from their pending invasion.

Ward 15 Councilman Matt Zone, the Detroit Shoreway Community Development Organization (DSCDO), and many concerned residents and organizations are working together to assist families affected by the explosion that occurred on West 83rd Street (to read the Plain Dealer article on the explosion, please click here).

I am a IT person, that is, I've been trained in that direction. Yes, Information Technology the wave of the future and the backbone of business. As of late there are no wavy backbones!

You go to school to get the geist of the IT world but when it comes time to get a job, you are unequipped to work. Firstly HR people only read the job descriptions, if you don't fit you're out. Then companies don't want to train you if you are short on experience. Let's examine this a little closer.

Here are the funding records for the past four years for the Community Development Block Grant, Neighborhood Development Activity funds for the former Wards 14 and 15.  These are the CDBG funds that are provided to each Ward under the Council person's authority for development needs in the Wards.  Note that in addition to these funds there were or are also the following funding sources that are utilized by Councilmembers and Community Development and Service organizations:
