The January 14, 2008 Cuyahoga County Commissioner's meeting started sounding much like a New England Town Meeting.
Coming down the hall towards the fourth floor Commissioner’s public meeting room, the Town Crier's sharply ringing hand bell competed with his yells of Hear Yea! Hear Yea!

Carl Pope told his audience at Levin College that today's branding strategies no longer involve an image (like the Coke logo/bottle or the Mercedes three point star) - branding today is just a phrase.

I spoke with the auto wrecker which is just under the bridge from the free wall today. He isn't happy with the graffiti workers because when the graffiti is on the junk yard fence, the city inspectors make the junk yard paint over the graffiti.
So, please, put the graffiti on the bridge abuttments, not on the private junk yard fence!

I've wanted to be a professional skater for the longest time.
Too much violence in the standard hockey and too many jumps in figure skating.
So my consulation has been to clown about the city on skates. As people ask about why I busy myself with picking up trash while skating I develope new spectators for Karmic Hockey. I make it semi-professional by picking up aluminum cans. The greatest concentration of cans is a Brown's Tailgating Party. With all the snow i believe I turn in the skates for a Santa suit.

The mood in the United States is changing towards people who don’t look like they are from here.
For years I have traveled around the US and around the world and, besides being inspected and asked to produce my passport at the physical border crossing between nations, I have only been stopped inside a county once - in the 70’s – by soldados in Patagonia when Argentina was governed by the military right before Peron returned to power.

Tower City and the Downtown Alliance Corporations around Public Square are moving the Cleveland bedroom up Superior. Downtown Cleveland is saying "NO" loud and clear.
What's the story with the old Cleveland Psychiatric Institute? When I worked at Metro and cruised the underground tunnels in the 1980s, one tunnel was always fenced off and guarded like some Victorian-era fortress.

This Fall, rather than raking and blowing those autumn leaves off your lawn and garden why don’t you just mow them into your lawn and leave them in your garden.

Bill Callahan, a private concerned citizen (where’s the County in this expose?), has taken a keen, focused interest in minding the "sub-prime" statistics.

Roy Richardson (left lower photo signing “Young Eagles” certificates), one of the original Tuskegee Airmen, hosted a group of 35 parents and kids at Burke Lakefront Airport on Saturday, October 13, 2007.
Water, water, everywhere and not a drop to float in. Yesterday, I attended a wedding shower for two people who represent everything hopeful about this region. Smart, smart people. My smart friend's smart mom arranged the party at the Henn House in Sims Park along the lake. Henn House has been renovated by volunteers who see the value of fixing and restoring. After the party, I found myself in the same position as another woman, who wandered down to the beach to admire the sun
