DEMOLITION CONTRACTOR FOR JOHN MARSHALL HIGH SCHOOL IN CLEVELAND, OHIO DOING DIRTY WORK FOR CORRUPT JACKSON & SWEENEY!

HALL OF SHAME SERIES #12!

THE ON-GOING SENSELESS DESTRUCTION OF HISTORIC 81-YEAR OLD JOHN MARSHALL HIGH SCHOOL IN CLEVELAND, OHIO IS BEING MADE POSSIBLE BY DEMOLITION CONTRACTOR EVANS – WHO IN ADDITION IS NOT ONLY POLLUTING THE ENVIRONMENT AROUND THE SCHOOL, WHO HARASSED AN ACTIVIST WHO COMPLAINED ABOUT THE POLLUTION, WHOSE CREW DON’T WEAR MASKS AND ARE BREATHING POLLUTED AIR, AND WHO FOR OVER THREE MONTHS NEVER INFORMED OHIO EPA THAT DEMOLITION WAS IN PROGRESS!

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING IN CLEVELAND, OHIO?

BECAUSE WE HAVE A 100% CORRUPT SYSTEM – LED BY A CORRUPT MAYOR JACKSON, A CORRUPT COUNCILMAN AND CITY COUNCIL PRESIDENT SWEENEY, A CORRUPT SCHOOL DISTRICT, AND A CORRUPT MEDIA – THE PLAIN DEALER AND THE FOUR TV STATIONS -- 3(NBC), 5(ABC), 8(Fox), AND 19(CBS)!

LETTER TO OHIO EPA DIRECTOR SCOTT J. NALLY:

The following letter was sent via e-mail on January 31, 2013 to Ohio EPA Director:

January 31, 2013

Subject:  Testing of Air around John Marshall High School (currently being demolished) in Cleveland, Ohio

Reference: My e-mails dated January 22, 25, and 30, 2013; and certified letter dated January 30, 2013

To: Ohio EPA Director, Scott J. Nally
Ohio EPA, Lazarus Government Center
50 West Town Street, Suite 700
Columbus, Ohio 43215

Dear Mr. Nally:

Thank you for the e-mail from Laura Factor, Assistant Director, Ohio EPA, dated January 30, 2013 in response to my e-mails to you dated January 22, 25, and 30, 2013.

The subject e-mail from Ms. Factor also contained a pdf attachment.

A certified letter – a follow up to the e-mails sent to you -- was also mailed out on January 30, 2013.

Because of the importance of the complaint – I will be communicating directly with you – with copies of my e-mails forwarded to Ms. Factor.

1. The objective of this complaint was stated in the attachment: Ohio EPA 01-22-13
which was included in all the e-mails as well as the certified letter sent to you.

The objective stated:

I will appreciate if Ohio EPA can:

a. Test the air around the site and submit a preliminary report that addresses both short term and long-term health effects on the community – children, senior citizens, individuals with asthma, etc.

b. Continue to monitor the site till the demolition is over and there are no more pollutants emanating from the site.

c. Submit a final report after the demolition has been completed.

In addition, as of January 31, 2013 -- I will appreciate receiving the following:

2. Criteria that will be used that will prompt Ohio EPA to test the air at the demolition site of an 81-year old historic building (opened in 1932, the subject school was 81-years old on 01-29-13) which has undergone prior extensive asbestos abatement.

3. Copies of all EPA tests, performed to-date, on the air around the subject site.

4. Did Ohio EPA test the air on the subject site during their inspections of July 26 and August 8, 2012?

5. On which date did the demolition contractor notify Ohio EPA that demolition was in progress on the subject site?

6. On which date did Ohio EPA become aware that demolition was in progress on the subject site?

7. Copies of Ohio EPA site inspection reports dated July 26 and August 8, 2012, and January 23, 2013.

8. Copy of contractor’s demolition notification submitted to Ohio EPA – as per Ohio EPA’s request dated January 22, 2013.

9. What prompted Ohio EPA that the demolition contractor was in violation and had not submitted the proper paperwork regarding the demolition notification?

10. Copy of demolition contractor’s daily report showing ambient temperature variation, at the site – from start of work-day to end of work-day on January 17, 2013. Photo 2 in my attachment EPA 01-22-13 shows dust being spewed into the air at the back of the building – as of 01-17-13.

11. What is Ohio EPA’s mission statement regarding ensuring public health in Ohio from harmful pollutants in the air?

I will appreciate a prompt response to above items, 1 through 11, considering the urgency of the situation.

It took three e-mails dated – January 22, 25, and 30, 2013 – to prompt the current response from your office.

Thanks to you, Ms. Factor, and Kurt Proncic (Chief of Northeast District Office of Ohio EPA) for help in the matter.

Best regards.
